Standard Abrasives™ Anodize Removal Disc 5/8 in., Medium Grade

The Standard Abrasives™ quick-change P.A.R.T. GP disc is a 5/8 in die paint anodize removal tool, sized specifically for cleaning anodized layers from electrical grounding contact points or other small holes in metal surfaces. Applying anodized layers to non-ferrous metals is often an important step in many industrial applications; it helps protect the metal surface from rust and corrosion. While desirable, anodized layers can also impede strong connections between metal parts, especially where nuts and bolts are concerned. The thin layer of paint between the workpiece and bolt may inhibit the accessory’s ability to clamp down or fasten as tightly as it could. The Standard Abrasives™ P.A.R.T. GP disc was engineered to help users tackle these issues. The centre hole on the Standard Abrasives™ P.A.R.T. GP disc self-aligns, so users may clean the surface around the hole without damaging or removing the anodized layer from surrounding workpiece areas.
